Thrive Together: Convening in Elmhurst, Queens, New York

In May, 2026, we gathered organizations from the Thrive Together Collaborative’s New York City cohort in Elmhurst, Queens for a closed-door roundtable conversation. We heard directly from 12 youth-serving program staff about the challenges they and their organizations face in their work, and how the Thrive Together Collaborative can share learnings and support. These leaders highlighted: 

1. A deep need for culturally competent mental health services, among both youth and organizational staff

2. A continued need for protection, vigilance, and additional resources to support vulnerable, at-risk immigrant communities 

3. Youth employment opportunities, upskilling in a rapidly changing economy
